Pause, Accelerate, or Resume an Action
In some situations, you may want to adjust a scheduled follow-up (date, content, recipients) or temporarily suspend tracking for a customer account.
Edit the date or content of an upcoming follow-up
You can adjust an upcoming follow-up directly from the platform.
From the Communications menu
or
From a customer account > Communications tab
1. Open the scheduled follow-up
2. Click Edit next to the subject
3. Modify the necessary information:
- Send date and time
- Recipients (existing contacts only)
- Message content
4. Click Edit to confirm
Only contacts already added to the account can be selected. If needed, add them from the Details tab > Add a contact.
Pause follow-ups for an account
You can suspend all upcoming communications for a specific account.
Steps:
1. Go to the Accounts
menu
2. Select the relevant account
3. Click Options > Pause follow-ups
The AI agent immediately pauses the follow-up plan for the account. A persistent information banner is displayed at the top of the account page.
Resume follow-ups for an account
Once follow-ups are paused, two actions can resume tracking:
- Click Resume follow-ups from the account page
- Import a new invoice or credit note, which automatically reactivates the follow-up plan
If the outstanding balance is zero (e.g., all invoices are settled), no follow-up plan is active. Only accounts with a positive outstanding balance are tracked.
What the AI agent does not handle
The AI agent does not allow you to schedule internal reminders or follow-ups "for later" without explicit action on your part. For example:
- Scheduling a reminder to "contact the customer in 2 weeks"
- Notifying a team member on a specific date
