In some situations, you may want to temporarily stop the collection plan for a customer account—such as ongoing legal proceedings, commercial negotiations, or internal processes. Billabex allows you to pause follow-ups for a specific account, either directly from the platform or by emailing the AI agent.
Steps:
1. Go to the Accounts module
2. Search for and select the relevant account from the list
3. Click on Options > Pause Follow-Ups
4. The AI agent is immediately notified of your decision
Result:
- The AI agent confirms the stop via email
- An alert icon appears next to the account name in the list
- An informational banner is displayed at the top of the account page

You can also send a message to your AI agent to request a stop on follow-ups for a specific account.
Best practices:
- Clearly indicate the account name
- Use an explicit instruction, such as:
- “Please stop follow-ups for this account”
- “Do not contact this client until further notice”
Avoid ambiguous expressions like “I’ll take care of it”, “We’re handling it directly”, or “We’re on it.” These may not trigger a pause.
Resuming Follow-Ups
Once the situation is resolved, you can:
- Reactivate follow-ups manually from the account page
- Or send a new email to the AI agent requesting to resume the process
